And, another thing which is quite important for me (maybe only me) to improve our written skills.

When we write ' I ' to describe me as a person, e.g " I am 19 years old. "
Please make sure that we write it right with the capital letter ' I ' not ' i '.
Why ?
I'll explain it later..
*g2g >.<

And another additional simple thing :)
When we mention about places or languages,
make sure to start them with a capital letter :)
e.g Indonesian, English, Amazon etc.

--
Why I didn't edit my previous post,
because I think I'm gonna append that post with another question hoho

Thanks for the great input. I'll be sure to completely put that on this thread. Just wait and see.

Yeah, writing skill is also important. The correct one should be "I" with capital, but sometimes everyone is lazy to make it into capital. Including me. Hoho. I'll wait for your explanation once this thread is ready to launch.

Thank you for the compliment.

I'm still learning too. Many things to learn, haven't really fully mastered English yet.

If you want to hone your writing, try reading many English newspapers or magazine such as The Jakarta Post and others. That way, you will be able to recognize the correct pattern of the sentences by instinct. :)

Yup, just stay tune in this thread. Will be launched very soon enough.

sorry for the late rep bro >.<
I was too tired to turn on my laptop >.<

well, it ain't about laziness or something like that, its about our habit :)

Hmm, I'll try to explain this in English (I've to think about 30 mins to find good words to write --a )
the main reason is "No one (natives) would look down on his/herself"
erh, I can't find any better words to write sedih
hope with that simple-but-important-straight-to-the-point reason could help >.<

I'm not kidding, its true..
you won't find any ' i ' which refers to ' I ' in any books/novels/other writing literature..

We are learning.
that makes us human :)
*I really do like this quote :D*

about the pronounciation,
I used to watch Hollywood movies (like Tangerine said before) and they help me with that :D
and try not to turn the subtitle on when you're watching :D

yeah,
that 'Jakarta Post' is really one thing !
I've read some and darn ! The way they use and write is amazing >.<
really, I just only understand about 30-40% of the words they used >.<
that's why I've to bring my dict when I read that newspaper hahaha

Haha.. No bro, you got it all wrong.

I was only joking by asking Homer why this thread is taking a long time to construct because I use Homer's slow and dumb image in the first post. Hehe.

Thanks for the explanation. I'll be sure to put this on the first post once it is ready.

Btw, the correct word is "pronunciation". But its basic word is "pronounce". Kinda tricky.

without ' o ' ?

thanks for the correction :D
actually when I wrote that word 'pronounciation' (the wrong way to write),
I got a warning underline that shows it is not a word that English could recognize.
actually I really don't know how to write that word..
hahah..
I just used to hear that word repeated by my English tutor and it sounds like 'pro-noun-ciation' hahaha

I myself rarely read newspapers..to much violence and pain in there. Most of the content are about criminal, politics, and cheap issues sedih

Try your own capability by having a conversation with strangers, tourist. Just say hi and take them for a bit detour, they won't mind.

As for me, i had a good time whenever it comes to machinery and industrial expo, there are a lot of western people there :)

Totally agree bro, real time practice with foreigners is the best way to enhance your speaking skill.

But writing is still an important element to master. Just have a balance between those two :p

arh,
I just read it because my tutor told me to hahah..
and I found that 'thing' is really a thing --a
the words they used in there, were outstanding (I don't know what word to describe this hahah >.<)

when my uncle or my auntie came to Jakarta,

yep,

IMHO,
writing is important for the formal one,
and speaking is important for the real one
(I can't find any good words to describe these too >.< , hope that you get my point >.<)

Yeah, I get it.

@ st_fanuc
That's good. Then your main issue must be in the grammar usage.

yes, to be said bluntly, i even forgotten some tenses and its structures.

I usually recall some parts from the book, and then try remembering what structures must be used on such condition

tangerine, do you take english for your subject? If that's so, would you mind train me for quick reply conversation?

my YM is : st_fanuc.

No, I took engineering. And now I take management.

But be my guest, I'll see what I can do for you. Will add your YM tomorrow morning.

About the tenses, hopefully next week I'll be able to post it. Now I'm stuck with my project of translating a book. Deadline is approaching 
